At Brooks Custom Homes we are committed to making the custom home building process fun. We feel that our success in this area is directly related to our organization and communication with our customers. For each home, we put together an individual list of specifications that, combined with our selection sheets, is usually 30 pages. This ensures that what you want is documented in writing. In addition, Brooks Custom Homes schedules regular meetings to solidify at different stages that we deliver the product you expect.
The pre-construction meeting is scheduled when the paper work is complete, and we are ready to break ground. In this meeting we will “red-line” or locate such items as television cables, phones, speakers, hose bibs, air-conditioning condensers, water heaters, security key pads, soffit plugs, and gas or propane locations. Your control over these items makes your home one of a kind. A construction schedule will also be discussed as well as the change order process.
Pre-electric walk – At this meeting we will meet at the house before the electricians begin work. Brooks Custom Homes will mark all plugs, switches, and door swings in the house. With the walls up, it is now easier to visualize how your furniture or décor will fit. At this time, we can move or add plugs or switches at no additional charge. We can also change the swing of a door if you would like. Once again to make sure your home fits your lifestyle.
Pre-trim walk – This will be scheduled before the interior trim is installed. At this time, we will mark shelving and hanging rods in closets and pantries. This is also a great time to review paint colors and flooring selections. We will also discuss specifications and details of built-ins and cabinets.
Our system of documentation of specifications and architectural documents assures everything is in “black and white,” and easy to understand. We will exceed your expectations. In addition, the owner, Quatro Brooks, will meet you anytime at your home to discuss any concerns.
